Mon, 03 Oct 2016

A walker had to be rescued by the coastguard after falling on a coastal path in Peel.

The team was called out yesterday morning after the walker slipped on the path at Corrin's Folly.

The coastguard's 4x4 was needed to help paramedics reach the casualty, who was treated for a suspected broken ankle.

The walker had to be placed in a basket stretcher before being taken to an ambulance.
