Info days to help older people stay independent

Wed, 05 Oct 2016

Older residents in the north of the Island will have a chance to get information to help them remain independent this month.

Two information days are being held in Ramsey to promote the services and facilities available to elderly people in the area.

The Department of Health and Social Care, Age Isle of Man, Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital and many other agencies will be available at the event.

The Northern Networking Group and Ramsey Group Practice have organised the information days, which are in their fourth year.

It's hoped providing the information will allow older people to maintain their health and wellbeing to live as independently as possible.

Those over 65 years old will be able to get a free flu jab at the event, which takes place on Friday October 14th and 21st at St Paul's Hall from 8am to 6pm.
