DED seek feedback ahead of minimum wage review

Mon, 28 Nov 2016

The Department of Economic Development wants to know what the Manx public thinks about the Isle of Man's minimum wage.

A committee is looking into the current minimum wage to determine whether changes need to be made in time for the start of the new financial year in April.

The committee is particularly keen to hear from those who currently earn the minimum wage, as well as other interested parties such as businesses, trade unions and industry bodies.

All submissions must be made by Friday December 9th and can be posted to the DED at Nivison House on Prospect Hill in Douglas, or emailed to dedemployment@gov.im

Those aged over 21 are currently entitled to earn a minimum of £7 per hour on the Isle of Man.
