Fire crews called out to crash

Fire crews from Peel and Kirk Michael were called out after a car came to rest on its side following a crash.

The incident, which only involved one vehicle, happened on the Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road at around 3pm on Saturday.

The driver managed to get out of the car before the emergency services arrived and received first aid from fire officers before being taken to hospital for further checks.

The fire teams remained at the scene for 90 minutes ensuring that the vehicle was safely removed.
