Those receiving Disability Living Allowance on the Isle of Man receive less than those in the UK.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan revealed the allowance is almost 8% lower on the Island in this week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Mr Cannan also confirmed that the higher rate of the mobility component is 4.8% lower.

He added that he is aware of the issues and will make a statement on the matter when delivering the budget in Tynwald next month.
