Health Minister to be asked about mental health of doctors, nurses

The mental health of the Island's medical staff will be discussed in Tynwald this week.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford is asking for statistics about the number of doctors and nurses signed off with stress, anxiety or depression during the 2015-16 period.

Mr Ashford also wants to know how many of those who missed work with one of these conditions were absent for four months or longer.

Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft will provide the details tomorrow.
