No electricity price rise for 2017-18

Tue, 28 Feb 2017

Manx Utilities will not be putting electricity prices up during the 2017-18 financial year.

The energy supplier has confirmed the rate for domestic and commercial users will remain unchanged from April 1, as will the standing charge and tariff for industrial customers.

Those using prepayed key metres will get twice as much emergency credit, with the facility increased from £3 to £6.

Manx Utilities had already announced a 6.4% water rate increase, but has also revealed the cost of emptying septic tanks won't be changed.
