A charity which works to keep the Island's beaches clean says it won't be deterred following vandalism to its bins.

Beach Buddies' bin at Langness appears to have been deliberately struck by a vehicle, leaving a large dent in the steel structure and knocking down three concrete posts.

The organisation, which has previously had bins set on fire and thrown in rivers, insists this amount of damage couldn't have been caused by accident.

Despite the incident, Beach Buddies insists it will continue its work to protect the Island's environment.

Anyone who knows who is responsible for this incident is asked to contact Police Headquarters or Crimestoppers.
