MHK seeks details of patient taxi savings

The cost of the new patient taxi transfer provider will be discussed in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker wants to know how much the Department of Health and Social Care will save after changing the company it uses to take Manx patients to hospital appointments in Liverpool.

ComCab Liverpool was the successful bidder in a recent tender process, and will take over from Bridgewater Cars later this month.

Health Minister Kate Beecroft, who has insisted that cost and quality of service were given equal importance during the tender process, will provide the details on Tuesday.
