Simpson wins at Blue Point

James Simpson was the winner of the first round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s English Skeet Summer league at Blue Point on Sunday, scoring 48/50. Marty Kneen was second on 47 with Paul Mihailovits taking third place on 45.

Simpson went on to win the 100 target competition with a score of 92. Mihailovits was second on 91 with Jeff Corkill taking third on 88.

Results of Penketh-Millar 50 target English Skeet League:

A Class: 1, James Simpson 48/50; 2, Marty Kneen 47; 3, Paul Mihailovits 45.

B Class: 1, Madeline Simpson 40; 2, Ben Richards 38; 3, Bob Corlett 34.

C Class: 1, Mike Walker 38; 2, Fred Waggett 36; 3, Conor Cummins 20.

This week will be very busy with Olympic Trap and Olympic Skeet Summer leagues sponsored by Absolute Scaffolding and the first of the Sportrap Summer league. Entries close at 10.15am.
