OFT issues warning over defective lights

Manx residents are being warned not to use a brand of string lights after the items were found to be dangerous.

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading says the CALISH Globe String Lights have a number of defects and pose a serious risk of electrocution.

The OFT is urging anyone on the Island who bought a set of the lights not to use them and to contact the trader who sold them the item.

The lights were sold online through eBay and Amazon.
