Witnesses sought after car hits young girl

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a young girl was hit by a car in Douglas.

The incident happened just before 7pm last night at the junction of Allan Street and Westmoreland Road.

The white vehicle - which is thought to be a Honda 4x4 - didn't stop of the scene.

Anyone who saw the incident or has other information which could help the police's investigation is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
