There will be no train serving Heysham Port on Saturday because of strikes.
There will be no train serving Heysham Port on Saturday because of strikes.

The Steam Packet Company is warning its passengers that there won't be any connection between Heysham and Lancaster this weekend.

Those using the Ben-my-Chree services between Douglas and Heysham can normally get a train from the port to Lancaster, but industrial action means the service won't be running on Saturday.

Northern Rail have told the Steam Packet it won't be putting on a replacement bus service, but those with rail and sail tickets will be able to claim back any extra costs incurred.

The ferry operator is urging those heading off Island on Saturday to make alternative arrangements.
