Minister admits patient transfer problems were inevitable

Tue, 25 Apr 2017

Health Minister Kate Beecroft insists her Department is continuing to monitor all feedback on the new patient transfer service.

ComCab Liverpool took over the transfer service last month, but some patients have been unhappy with the company's cars, quality of driving and punctuality.

Speaking at this month's sitting of Tynwald, Mrs Beecroft admitted teething problems were inevitable, and that the process would have been easier if the previous provider had been able to carry on for longer.

The Minister confirmed both positive and negative feedback from those who use the service is being monitored to ensure the service is up to standard.
