Ayre Clay Target Club held three competitions at Blue Point on Sunday. David ‘Wilfy’ Walton won both the 50 target Olympic Trap league shoot sponsored by Absolute Scaffolding Limited and the 100 target selection shoot. Neil Parsons was second in both, with Phil Ward taking third in the league competition and Rob Watterson taking third in the selection shoot.
Marty Kneen was the winner of the third round of the Sportrap Summer League. Kevin Oates was second and Phil Butler was third.
Results of the 50 target Sportrap competition:
A Class: 1, Martin Kneen 48/50; 2, Kevin Oates 45; 3, Phil Butler 42.
B Class: 1, Eddie Brew 38; 2= Ted Kermeen and Jack Kneen 37.
C Class: 1, Chris Parker 41; 2, Jordan Dougherty 38; 3, Leo Fox 33.
This week is a 100 target English Skeet Selection Shoot, incorporating the 50 target Penketh-Millar sponsored league competition and the Tommy Shimmin Memorial Trophy.
