A derelict hotel in the south of the Island will be demolished later this month.

Dandara has hired a firm to begin demolition work on the Royal Hotel on Port Erin promenade once TT finishes.

The hotel hasn't been used since 2008, and the developer has planning permission to build new apartments on the site.

Traffic management will be in place throughout the works, which are expected to take around 12 weeks to complete.
