Ankle injury leads to callout for coastguard and ambulance crews

One of the Island's coastguard teams was called out to help ambulance crews rescue an injured person on Snaefell.

The person suffered a suspected fractured ankle yesterday afternoon, resulting in paramedics being called to the scene.

Douglas coastguard was needed to carry the injured person down the mountain to the road in a bucket stretcher, before they could be taken to Noble's by ambulance.

The crews spent around two hours at the scene.
