Garff MHK Daphne Caine is asking about planned legislation that will affect home educators.

The Island's politicians are seeking details about home education, public rights of way and the cost of Government business trips.

Although the House of Keys, Legislative Council and Tynwald all take a break over the summer, members can still pose questions for written answer.

Garff MHK Daphne Caine wants to know why the Department of Education and Children is planning to bring in legislation requiring home educators to provide annual reports.

Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson poses a question about maintenance of the Island's public rights of way, while Julie Edge wants to know the cost of trips taken by the Chief Executives of each Department of the last five years.

A total of 17 questions for written answer have been submitted, with the answers due to be published today.
