Vandals place sharp metal in rugby pitch

Wed, 30 Aug 2017

Police in the north of the Island are investigating after sharp metal items were deliberately placed in a rugby pitch.

The items were left in Ramsey Rugby Club's pitch, which is due to be used by children over the weekend.

Police say the offence comes following a spate of vandalism in the area, with other incidents taking place at Milntown Gardens and Ramsey Golf Club in recent days.

Officers believe it's possible all of these acts of anti-social behaviour are the responsibility of one group.

Anyone who can help police identify those responsible is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234.
