Planning permission sought for 72-bedroom residential home

Fri, 15 Sep 2017

Permission is being sought to construct a 72-bedroom residential home in the south of the Island.

The facility would be built on the site of the former Spaldrick House hotel on Bradda Road in Port Erin.

The applicant wants to demolish the former hotel, replacing it with a three-storey purpose-built residential home, including dining rooms, quiet lounges and a hair dressers.

The application claims the home would create around 60 full- and part-time jobs.
