A fully-equipped playground has been donated to a local authority in the south of the Island.

Hartford Homes built the facility as part of its Cronk Cullyn development in Colby, but has signed control of the park over to Arbory Commissioners as a public space.

The site, which is now accessible from neighbouring estates, has been named after former TT sidecar racer Dwight Beare, who died at last year's races.

The Australian worked as a joiner, and worked on houses surrounding the park prior to his death.
