Police search for driver who hit lamppost

Police are appealing for information after a car hit a lamppost in the north of the Island.

The blue Mercedes ML320 or similar 4x4 vehicle struck the post on Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey shortly after 11pm last night.

The vehicle made off from the scene and headed north towards Bride.

Officers want to trace the car and speak to the driver, and believe it will have front impact damage.
