Entry deadline for End to End walk approaches
Thu, 27 Aug 2009
The entry deadline is looming for this year’s End to End Walk.
It’s probably the second biggest walking event on the Island after the Parish Walk.
Although the distance of 39.22 miles is shorter than the Parish, the pace is quicker and some parts of the route pose a gruelling challenge for competitors.
Many walkers choose to finish at Peel and not tackle the steep climbs that occur frequently from Glen Maye onwards.
The walk is being held on Sunday 20th September, starting from the Point of Ayre and finishing at the Sound.
Entry forms have to be in by Sunday 6th September. They can be found on the End to End Walk and Manx Athletics websites.
