New and bigger stores come to Douglas

The former Woolworths store is to get a new occupant.

Miss Selfridge will be moving into the building later this year, although staff there could not confirm an exact date for the move.

Topshop, who's parent company Arcadia also own Miss Selfridge, is also set to be moving to bigger premises.

Its website says the fashion store will be moving to three thousand square foot premises around April.

Meanwhile sportswear retailer Sports Direct is recruiting over fifty staff for a new Douglas store, however an address is yet to be released.
