August trial for murder accused

A Douglas man accused of murder will stand trial later this year.

Deemster Doyle set August 2nd as the start date for the trial of Simon Paul Leece.

38 year old Leece is accused of starting the Demesne Road fire last March, in which 61 year old builder Terry Losh was killed.

He's also alleged to have started fires on Clarke Street, Peveril Street and Bucks Road.

Leece, who was remanded in custody, denies the charges.

Acting Deemster Birkett will conduct the trial.
