The debate over the ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement has continued in the House of Keys this morning.

Michael MHK David Cannan asked the Chief Minister to thank MP Andrew Mackinlay and the 60 MPs that have signed an early day motion asking for a delay on the closure of the agreement.

Tony Brown said he would consider sending them an email.

Mr Brown also said the Isle of Man would prefer to keep the Reciprocal Health Agreement.

However Brenda Cannell, member for East Douglas, suggests the UK Secretary of State Andy Burnham thought the Island's arguement for the agreement continuing was weak.

Mr Brown responded, saying the matter was not negotiable, and that some MHKs were misleading the public by allowing them to think the agreement could be saved.
