Civil Partnerships Bill to progress

The next step of the Civil Partnership Bill will take place next week.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell will give the Bill its second reading.

The legislation is being brought in to allow same sex couples to be legally recognised on the Island.

The next step of the Bill was delayed after the first reading, whilst Tynwald members were given a presentation on the subject.

It mirrors laws brought in in the UK in 2004
