Minister says Government doesn't need recycling policy

The Policy and Reform Minister says there's no need for a Government policy on recycling.

Chris Thomas confirmed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that there is no cross-Government recycling system in place.

However, Mr Thomas revealed that there are a number of separate initiatives run throughout Government, such as recycling non-confidential paper, ink cartridges and batteries.

The answer came in response to a question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
