Manx charities invited to apply for Government grants

Manx charities can apply for a Government grant for projects in developing countries.

The Independent Development budget will give out £540,000 to local charities carrying out work overseas over the next two years.

Organisations can submit application from today, with priority given to those ranked as Low Development on the United Nations Human Development Index.

Charities must have a physical presence on the Island and will be required to raise 10% of the total funding themselves.

Applications must be submitted by April 21st - further details can be found on the Government's website.
