Horse trams suspended while horses recover from illness
The horse trams won't be operating along Douglas promenade for around 10 days after a respiratory infection affected a number of the horses.
After seeking advice from a vet, Isle of Man Railways has had to cancel its operations to allow the animals to recover.
The infection is said to be relatively common and not fatal to horses, although it can spread between them.
The horses should recover within 10 to 14 days, but action is needed to contain the infection and ensure it doesn't spread further.
A further update will be issued once the horse trams can return to action, and all other vintage transport is operating as normal.
