New headteacher for St Ninian's

One of the Island's secondary schools will have a new headteacher from September.

Chris Coole has been appointed as headteacher of St Ninian's High School from the start of the next academic year.

Mr Coole went to Castle Rushen High School as a pupil and began his teaching career at Queen Elizabeth II School, before working at two schools in Yorkshire.

He was appointed head of geography at St Ninian's since 2004, and has been deputy head for the last two years.

Mr Coole replaces Andy Fox, who is retiring in the summer.
