Lifeboat tows stricken boat away from rocks

Ramsey lifeboat was called out to help a broken down vessel drifting near rocks in Laxey.

The crew was dispatched on Sunday after the small vessel suffered a double engine failure just 20 feet from Bulgham Rocks.

The two-man crew on the stricken boat were able to deploy and anchor, but the vessel was still at risk of drifting onto the yacht.

The team from Ramsey reached the vessel within 20 minutes, and was able to tow it to safety in Laxey harbour.
