MGP race winner dies following Ulster crash

A former Manx Grand Prix race winner has died as a result of injuries sustained at the Ulster Grand Prix.

Gavin Lupton from Yorkshire was involved in an incident at the Dundrod 150 Challenge race earlier this month.

The 37-year-old claimed victory in the MGP Newcomers B race in 2011, and made his TT debut in 2016.

Lupton also secured podium finishes at the 2013 Classic TT and 2014 MGP Lightweight race.
