Jonny joined the EnergyFM team in 2004 as a sports monkey. This involved recording and editing sound clips for broadcast on Supersport Saturday. He was then given the chance to present the Energizer on a Saturday night, which was to his liking for two reasons….his first presenting opportunity and his love of commercial dance music!
When picking the straws, he picked the short one…it turned out to be his first permanent slot, which he still presents 5 years on….waking the island up on Sunday Breakfast. Jonny has also had stints presenting The Late Lounge, Overnights, and Slow Jam.
In early 2009, Jonny began presenting the Wall of Sound Monday to Thursday evenings, but you'll now hear him every weekday afternoon from 2.
Outside of the studio, Jonny plays a fair bit of golf, trying his best to get his handicap down to single figures. You may have heard him bringing you coverage of the Golf Championships over the past few years. It's only fair we send him out again this year!
