Tip-offs led to drugs seizures

Police say two Class A drug seizures came about after tip-offs from members of the public.

£5,000 worth of what's thought to be Cocaine was uncovered on Friday in two separate operations in Onchan and Douglas.

A large amount of cash was also seized.

A 37 year old woman from the south of the Island has been charged with offences of possession in connection with one of the cases.

She'll appear in court next month.

Two men - aged 25 and 51 - and a woman who's 22 have been bailed whilst further enquiries are carried out.

Inspector Helen Mason says the majority of seizures on the Island are intelligence led.
