800m athlete added to Isle of Man Commonwealth Games team
Athlete Joe Reid has been added to the Isle of Man squad for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
The 800m runner has been selected after the Island was awarded an additional space earlier this month.
The Manx team was initially made up of 32 athletes, but with other nations unable to fill their quota the Island was given one more place.
Reid met the qualifying criteria before the orginial squad was announced, but missed out on initial selection.
The team flies to Australia on March 19th for a week of acclimitisation before moving into the athletes' village.
