Maurice Trace Reports:

Norway won Division Two of the ICC Europe Championship yesterday (Thursday), securing promotion to Division One after finishing unbeaten in the tournament. Germany who lost all their matches are relegated to Division Three.
The Isle of Man had a disappointing final day, going down to Austria and Gibraltar. Batting first against the Austrians, the Manx suffered two run outs in the first three overs and fell to 23 for 5 from seven overs. Danny Kniveton with 23 and Max Stokoe hitting 20 staged a revival, but the side were dismissed for 81. Kasthuri Arachchige made an unbeaten 52 as Austria won by ten wickets.
The Island batted much better in their clash with Gibraltar, finishing on 134 for 7. Skipper Phil Littlejohns scored 46 and Alex Stokoe ended on 29 not out. Luke Lacey then rocked Gibraltar with two wickets in his first two overs. However Kayron Stagno came to the rescue with 74 not out from 53 balls and Mark Bacarese hit 59 before falling to Alex Stokoe.  The Rock emerged the winners by seven wickets to secure fourth place in the table.
There was consolation for the Island as Luke Lacey came second in the bowlers table for wickets taken. He claimed nine victims, just one behind the leader Safir Hayat.
