Fire station celebrates fundraising milestone

Firefighters have recently reached a milestone in raising more than £60,000 in Kirk Michael.

The social club at the station has raised the money for charity through various events over the years.

Station Officer John Cashin presented a cheque this week to Sub Officer Alan Brew for £2867.65 which had been raised last year.

The money has been donated to the Firefighters Charity, Hospice in memory of Leading Firefighter Kevin Quinn, bowel cancer research, Friends of Kirk Michael school, Friends of Chernobyl children and the Kirk Michael Endowment Committee.
