DHA hopes Fraud Bill will boost Island's reputation
The Department of Home Affairs hopes a new bill will help the Isle of Man's reputation as a responsible business centre.
MHK Clare Bettison will introduce the Fraud Bill for its first reading at a House of Keys sitting next month.
The Government says the legislation will match modern global standards and help prevent fraud offences.
It's hoped this bill will also speed up prosecuting fraud cases through the Island's court, while bringing in specific legislation to combat aiding and abetting and conspiracy in fraud cases.
