Lifeboat called out to help ill seaman

Douglas lifeboat was called out after a crewman on a vessel off the coast of the Island fell ill.

The lifeboat was launched shortly after 11pm to head to Laxey, where the vessel was located.

The ill seaman was transferred to the lifeboat and brought back to Douglas.

An ambulance was waiting at the lifeboat's temporary station on the Liner Berth to take the man to Noble's Hospital.
