Armistice Day still relevant today say veterans

Thu, 11 Nov 2010

The Island's veterans have been paying there respects to fallen comrades at today's Armistice Day commemorations.

Over a hundred people joined the Lieutenant Governor at the Cenotaph in Douglas to lay wreaths and say prayers of rememberance to those who lost their lives at war.

The Annual event is traditionally to commemorate servicemen and woman who have lost their lives in World Wars one and two, however many veterans believe the service is even more relevant to today's society. [play clip]
