Police confirm sidecar is seized for crash investigation

Police have confirmed they've seized a sidecar as they investigate a double fatality in Tuesday night's practice session.

Bill Currie and Kevin Morgan died in a crash at Ballacrye.

Simon Neary and Jason Crowe's sidecar is suspected of leaking oil onto the circuit.

The pair were absent from last night's practice session as their Honda remained with police.

Head of the Roads Policing Unit Inspector Mark Britton says the Constabulary isn't releasing a formal statement but confirmed the sidecar is impounded.

He says they're making sure the circumstances surrounding the crash are investigated thoroughly and the machine will remain seized until inquiries are carried out.
