UK gambling changes have minimal impact on Island, says Bell

The Economic Development Minister says new gambling regulation in the UK shouldn't cause problems for the Isle of Man.

The UK Gambling Commission has announced that online gambling companies will need to have a UK licence to operate in Britain in the future.

However, trusted juristictions such as the Isle of Man will not face the same amount of red tape.

Allan Bell has welcomed the statement, saying the UK recognises the Island's high standards of regulation and consumer protection.

It's not yet known when these measures will be brought in
