Motorists warned to expect severe disruption

Motorists have been warned to expect severe disruption in Douglas this evening – due to the delayed TT Races.

Crossing points will be open between 5pm and 6pm and traffic signals will be manually operated.

However congestion is inevitable and the public have been asked to avoid travelling at peak times.

Douglas Promenade is likely to be particularly busy and people have been asked to avoid it if at all possible.

The horse trams will also be suspended.
