The Isle of Man played host to one of the leading lights in modern science this weekend.

Professor Stephen Hawking was spotted visiting the Island.

He is the world’s most famous cosmologist, and an expert in time travel, and was seen out and about enjoying Saturday’s good weather.

Little is known about the reasons for the History of Time author’s visit, but whilst here he went on the steam train arriving in Port Erin to join in with the Island at War celebrations.
