Emergency services face challenging three days

Emergency services say the last three days have proved “challenging” as workers battle to deal with the fallout from the bad weather.

Heavy snow has caused chaos, particularly in the west of the Island, which has seen whole areas cut off.

There are still parts of the Island without electricity with the Manx Electricity Authority working to reconnect supplies.

Roads are starting to re-open as the Department of Infrastructure battles to clear huge snow drifts from main routes.

Superintendent Kevin Wilson says help is on hand for people who need it:
