UKIP leader Nigel Farage has come under fire after admitting setting up a bank account on the Island to try and reduce his tax bill.

The Mirror newspaper is reporting today that he paid a tax adviser to create a trust in the Isle of Man which he wanted to put his funds through.

According to the paper he confessed of its existence to investigators – then claimed he actually ended up out of pocket from it.

He’s since admitted it was a mistake.

Today’s paper also carries a section entitled ‘Why the rich leg it to the Isle of Man’.

The news is revealed in the same week that Prime Minister David Cameron used the G8 Summit to rally countries to stamp out tax avoidance.
