Police appeal for Swahili speaker

Sat, 22 Jun 2013

In what is a slightly unusual request the police force are appealing to someone who can speak and understand Swahili to come forward.
An inquiry has come about which has called for help in interpreting both spoken and written Swahili.

The language is commonly spoken by people native to the African Great Lakes region, which includes Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to name but a few.

The Constabulary say they are hopeful they will find someone given the diverse nature of the Island.

Anyone who is able to help is urged to ring 631371.
