New Chief Exec for Community, Culture and Leisure

A new Chief Executive has been appointed at the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.

Colin Kniveton will replace Nick Black who is now the CE at the Department of Infrastructure.

Top civil servant Mr Kniveton has moved around a number of senior positions over recent years, the last being the Chief Executive of Economic Development.

He takes on his new role at a time when there is turmoil within the public transport division where the bus drivers’ dispute still rumbles on.

It had been announced recently that Mr Kniveton has been tasked with reviewing public services and he will continue with this job.
