Man arrested after criminal damage incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of criminal damage at the Spar in Ramsey in the early hours of this morning.

Two notice boards outside the shop on Parliament Street were damaged at around 12.10am.

A man was later arrested in the area of Market Square on suspicion of causing this damage.

He was suffering from a serious hand injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Police say they have spoken to a number of witnesses but would still like to hear from anyone who saw what happened. Anyone with information can contact Ramsey Police Station.
